God desires for us to live in such a way that is pleasing unto Him. This requires us to dedicate pure hearts, as well as, lives of worship and service unto Jesus Christ, (1 Thessalonians 4:1-12, NIV) :: Sanctification (Hagiasmos, G38) <>< [The Will of God | The SOURCE]

  1. Know that there is much to learn, and that this is a process of growth and maturity (v. 1a)
  2. Be accepting of and acceptable as a sibling in Christ (v. 1b)
  3. Have mentors that know how to and that already live lives that are pleasing to God; be obedient to their instruction (v. 1c)
  4. Let obedience be your lifestyle (v. 1d)
  5. Be in the Lord Jesus Christ (v. 1e)
  6. Grow and mature in your lifestyle of obedience (v. 1f)
  7. Remember, and not reject the instruction already given to you, for both your mentors and the instruction you receive has been given to them with authority from the Lord Jesus (v. 2)
  8. Be sanctified, set apart for God’s usage (v. 3a)
  9. Avoid sexual immorality; be sexual moral (v. 3b)
  10. Have self-control in a way that is Holy and honorable (v. 4a)
  11. Do not give in to passionate lust (v. 5a)
  12. Do not be like the heathen who do not know God; know God (v. 5b)
  13. Do not wrong or take advantage of others by giving in to passionate lusts (v. 6a)
  14. Know that the Lord will punish men for all such sins (v. 6b)
  15. Remember the teachings about accountability and the warnings received about punishment for all such sins (v. 6c)
  16. Be pure that you may answer and remember God’s call (v. 7a)
  17. Live a Holy life (v. 7b)
  18. Do not reject God or His instruction (v. 8a)
  19. Accept God’s Holy Spirit (v. 8b)
  20. Know about brotherly love, and be responsible with what you have learned that others may come to trust you in good faith (v. 9a)
  21. Be teachable knowing that it is God who teaches us about loving each other (v. 9b)
  22. Allow your love to be made known by others  (v. 10a)
  23. Remain teachable, and love everyone, more and more (v. 10b)
  24. Set your ambitions on God’s will and lead a quiet life (v. 11a)
  25. Be self-aware, productive, self-sufficient and entrepreneurial (v. 11b)
  26. Be social, inclusive, respectful, have integrity, and be independent (v. 12)
